Contract
Between Certified Anger Management Trainers and the What’s
Good About Anger? Institute and CounselCare Connection,
P.C., Inc. organizations
A Certified Anger Management Trainer/Professional/Coach with the What’s
Good About Anger Institute (hereinafter referred to as “the Trainer/Professional/Coach”)
and The What’s Good About Anger Institute a division of CounselCare
Connection, P.C. (hereinafter referred to as “WGAAI”).
In consideration of the certification received, the Trainer/Professional/Coach named
below understands and agrees as follows:
1. Copyrighted Materials: Resources, publications, materials
and concepts of CounselCare Connection, P.C., WGAAI and/or
Lynette J. Hoy, NCC, LCPC and/or Steve Yeschek, LCSW, including
but not limited to the “What’s Good About Anger?” book,
workbooks, trainer’s and leader’s manuals, handouts,
inventories, surveys, progress reports, online and distance-learning
courses, videos, audio tapes, CDs and DVDs including “What’s
Good About Anger?” and “Forgiveness: the Journey
Out of Anger” are copyrighted and all rights are reserved
regarding the sale, use, and distribution. Unauthorized sale,
distribution, reproduction or copying of the aforesaid is
prohibited by law.
2. Waiver of Liability: The WGAAI training programs do not provide supervision
for certified Trainers/Professionals in their facilitation, leading,
teaching and training of individuals and groups in anger management skills.
Lynette J. Hoy, Steve Yeschek, CounselCare Connection, P.C. and WGAAI
are not responsible or liable for any damages, injuries or losses which
occur directly or indirectly from teaching, facilitating, training, leading,
programs or content offered by any individuals, groups, persons Trainers
or Professionals or Coachs. The Trainer/Professional/Coach agrees
to hold harmless and indemnify Lynette J. Hoy, Steve Yeschek, CounselCare
Connection, P.C. and WGAAI against any claims, rights of action, damages,
injuries or losses which arise directly or indirectly from use of WGAAI
materials, concepts and programs in teaching, facilitating, or training
of anger management skills to individuals or groups.
3. Trainer/Professional /CoachCertification
Levels and Programs:
a. Certified Anger Management Trainer or Coach (herein, “Trainer/Coach”):
a person who has met the qualifications of WGAAI and successfully completed
one of the WGAA Trainer or Coach Certification courses or programs.
b. Certified Anger Management Professional (herein, “Professional”):
a mental health professional who is licensed to practice by a state regulation
board within the USA and has met the qualifications of WGAAI and successfully
completed one of the WGAA Trainer Certification courses or programs.
c. Trainer/Professiona/Coach Certification
Courses/Programs:
i. Anger Management Trainer Certificates- Level One or Level Two (Faith
model – based on first edition of book);
ii. Anger Management Trainer Certificate- Intermediate Level (Community
model- based on second edition of book).
iii. Advanced 40-hour Anger Management Trainer Certificate- (Community
model- based on the second edition of book).
iv. Anger Management Coach Certificate- Level One. (Community model -
based on second edition of book).
4. Certification of Trainers/Coachs: Trainer/Professional/Coach is
not authorized and shall not certify any person as an Anger Management
Trainer/Professional/Coach through
WGAAI Trainer programs. The sole authority to certify Anger Management
Trainers/Professionals/Coach through
WGAAI Trainer/Coach programs shall remain with and be the sole prerogative
of Lynette J. Hoy, NCC, LCPC, Anger Management Specialist, and Steve
Yeschek, LCSW, Anger Management Specialist.
5. Permission for Trainers/Professionals/Coachs
to Use WGAAI Materials for Teaching Anger Management Skills: Trainer/Professional/Coach is
authorized to teach, train, coach, facilitate, and lead individuals or
groups in the area of anger management skills. A Trainer/Professional/Coach is
not authorized and shall not hold him/herself out to be qualified to,
or attempt to, train any individual or group to become a Certified Anger
Management Trainer/Professional/Coach.
6. Use of Materials, Resources, Publications, etc. The use of, facilitation
of, teaching, training, and leading of individuals or groups in connection
with WGAAI resources, publications, materials and concepts is authorized
only to those who receive a Trainer/Professional/Coach Certificate
from WGAAI. The trainer’s and leader’s manuals are intended
solely for use by Trainers/Professionals/Coachs
and Trainer/Professional/Coach shall
not encourage or allow anyone not so certified to so use these materials.
7. Use of Outside Resources with WGAAI Resources. Trainer/Professional/Coach is
not permitted to use any materials, programs, resources or concepts other
than WGAAI materials, programs, resources or concepts in conjunction
with the teaching, leading, facilitating or training of WGAAI anger management
skills. Trainer/Professiona/Coachl
shall use only WGAAI materials, programs, resources or concepts in conjunction
with the teaching, facilitating, training, and leading of WGAAI anger
management skills.
8. Promotion of WGAAI Resources: Trainer/Professional/Coach agrees
to use and promote the resources, publications, materials and concepts
of WGAAI, CounselCare Connection, P.C. and/or Lynette J. Hoy, and/or
Steve Yeschek, including but not limited to those listed in item 1 under “Copyrighted
Materials” of this Agreement, in any and every offering of WGAAI
courses, classes and programs.
9. Final Agreement Between the Parties. This is a legally binding agreement.
This is the final agreement between the parties.
10. Governing Law. The governing law between the parties shall be the
law of the State of Illinois.
I have read, understand and agree to be bound by this Agreement
consisting of two (2) pages.
